Agent Workflows

What is an approval gate?

An approval gate is a deliberate pause before an AI-assisted workflow takes an important action.

Short answer: It gives the human a chance to check the plan, review the output, and approve the next step before something is published, sent, deleted, deployed, or changed.

Why it matters

The fastest workflow is not always the safest one. Approval gates keep momentum without giving away control.

How Aaron uses it

Aaron uses approval gates around publishing, production changes, destructive actions, sensitive content, and anything that needs human judgement.

Simple example

An agent can draft a blog post, but it should not publish it until the content has been reviewed.
